Northwest Passage blends maritime imagery, Alaska's rugged wilderness, and dimensional mixed media into a surreal journey between two worlds.

An aged sailing ship emerges from a subdued, almost monochromatic atmosphere, its dark hull appearing weathered by time and travel. Yet within the vessel, another world is revealed. Snow-covered evergreens, distant mountains and reflective water lead the eye toward a brilliant sweep of Northern Lights, where blues, greens and golden tones break dramatically from the surrounding gray.

Sculpted rocks and textured elements extend beyond the painted surface, blurring the boundary between painting and sculpture and giving the opening a tangible, almost portal-like quality.

The contrast between the weathered ship and luminous landscape suggests a journey toward discovery—a passage from the familiar into the extraordinary.
