Mending Me

Life has a way of breaking us apart.

Through heartache, disappointment, loss, and the struggles we face, there are moments when we feel as though we've shattered into pieces. Sometimes the weight of everything becomes more than we can bear, and we simply fall apart.

But falling apart does not mean we must remain broken.

We have within ourselves the ability to begin again. Piece by piece, we can gather what remains, mend the broken places, and slowly rebuild ourselves.

The stitches in this painting represent that process. They symbolize the effort, courage, and determination it takes to put ourselves back together, even when the pieces no longer fit perfectly.

The spaces between the fragments remind us that healing doesn't always erase what happened. Our experiences may leave their marks, but those marks do not diminish our worth.

The touches of gold represent the strength, wisdom, and beauty that can emerge as we heal.

We may never be exactly the person we were before life's struggles, and that's okay. We can become someone stronger, wiser, and more compassionate because of what we've experienced.

We may fall apart, but we do not have to stay in pieces.

Mending Me is a reminder that healing is possible, that we have the ability to participate in our own restoration, and that being broken is not the end of our story.
