Beneath the Surface

Beneath the Surface explores the idea that there is always more to discover than what we first see. A peaceful tropical shoreline fills the outer canvas with blue skies, rolling waves, sand, and a distant palm tree. But the surface of the painting appears to peel away, revealing a colorful underwater world hidden beneath.

At the center, a curious clownfish swims forward among coral, bubbles, rocks, and aquatic plants, almost as though it has discovered an opening into our world. The dimensional folded canvas creates the illusion that one painting exists inside another, inviting the viewer to look beyond what is immediately visible.
